I'm still a bit concerned about her biting but I've read the 1hr 45min conference call the three of you made about biting and it helped a lot. I have studied her habits and discovered that she bites when I want her to do something that she doesn't want to do. Now I can work with her on that problem, too!

Your advice about the cockatiel helped me soooo much to overcome a deep rooted problem of the relationship with my bird. Even though I received so many emails from others this simple issue of understanding the cage as his territory did not click with me until you mentioned it.

Nobody else mentioned about that in their mails! In fact, one video I watched advised me to put my hand in to the cage and continue to touch the bird even though the bird is aggressive!

I was angry sometimes with my cockatiel because of this misleading information but now that I follow your advice, we are progressing well. Thank you very much for your help.

I will definitely buy another bigger cage for the bird and make
it feel free so as to express itself.  Also I will follow your instructions about how to take care of the bird. I don't know how to clip the parrot's wing but will try to find out and possibly take it to a vet to assist with.

I feel so sorry for these little guys who have this problem. I had a little cockatiel, Sissy, who plucked her feathers. I did every thing I could for her. I put her cage next to Clyde, her husband, and she still would pluck. They had been given to us.

When we got Sasha, our cockatoo, I had hoped the three of them would be pals. The cockatiels were so independent, they wouldn't let us hold, train or anything.

And maybe that was what it would take. VOILA!!! They are happy. Just thought I would let you know that. Thank you again."
